Upgrade the air intake performance of your Mini Cooper S with this custom-designed CAI Filter Adapter. This part allows you to mount a K&N cone filter inside your stock airbox, providing improved airflow for better engine performance. Similar to the John Cooper Works (JCW) performance option, this mod is practically invisible once the airbox is reassembled.
To enhance the air intake, this adapter also allows for enlarging the stock cold air inlet in the airbox and cowl, improving airflow dynamics. A 2.5" grommet (such as the R53 lower steering column boot) can be used to seal the inlet perfectly.
The noticeable improvements include a louder, more aggressive supercharger scream at wide-open throttle, adding a thrilling auditory experience to your drive. While you may need a tune to unlock the full potential, the enhanced engine breathing and sound make it worthwhile.
