Material & Heat Resistance
This part is 3D-printed in high-quality ASA or ASA-CF (carbon fiber reinforced ASA) for excellent durability, UV resistance, and heat tolerance. ASA offers a heat deflection temperature of ~95–105 °C, making it suitable for under-hood applications where PETG or PLA would soften or deform.
For maximum longevity, especially in high-performance or turbocharged setups (such as the RB26DETT), we recommend adding heat shielding between the part and nearby exhaust or turbo components. While ASA can handle typical intake air temperatures, radiant heat from hot engine components can exceed 100 °C, so shielding will prevent potential softening or warping.
Compared to PLA and PETG, ASA and ASA-CF maintain their strength and shape under higher heat, resist UV damage, and offer a professional finish.
